"We had a lovely time living here and we had a great time in Yorkshire" - Ellise, aged 6
Nov 06 - Hen House is a delight! This is a gorgeous little cottage…..really appreciated all the extra touches such as the bread, eggs etc. thanks for a wonderful stay, would love to come back.
Apr 07 - The cottage was excellent and the countryside stunning – so much so we walked our fifteenth mile to day and now going home for a rest!
Aug 07 – A beautiful cottage, well looked after with everything we could possibly need. All the little extras were much appreciated and made our stay extra special.
Aug 07 – An “oasis of peace and tranquillity”. We have hurtled past or been stuck in traffic jams on the Thirsk/Scarborough road many times but never realised that these beautiful villages existed. If we find a cottage as delightful as the henhouse ourselves we shall be “over the moon”. If not we will be back. Thank you.
Oct 07 – Our second visit this year. A very enjoyable holiday in a most comfortable cottage – hope to return again next year. Many thanks.
April 07 – Thank you for a lovely relaxing time and fro making us so welcome with the eggs, biscuits etc. Did you arrange the weather too; it was perfect. Very much enjoyed sitting out on the terrace eating breakfast in April!
Dec 06 – We have had a lovely Christmas in the Hen House, it has been everything we could have wished for – warm, cosy and very comfortable and made extra special by all your kind extras and the Christmas tree and decorations made it very festive. Thank you for making sure our every need was catered for.
Aug 06 – Glad to find that the cottage is still as perfect as it was whebn we were here 2 years ago. One of the best self-catering cottages we have stayed in.
April 06 – this has to be the nicest cottage we have ever stayed in – Thank you.
Aug 05 – Easily the best English cottage we’ve stayed in! Fantastic place!
July 05 – A wonderful cottage, set in beautiful countryside – a real tonic and aid for relaxation! Added to this – Maria Neil and Harry are perfect hosts. Thank you.
Sep 04 – This ‘Hen House’ is a little gem!
Aug 04 – The best appointed self-catering we have ever been in.
June 04 – Should think this is the most luxurious hen house in the UK, best self catering property we have stayed in yet and we have stayed in a few!! ……. Great walking area around here but just not enough time to do them all in a week so will be making a return visit.
April 04 – We had high expectations and the Hen House met and indeed exceeded them. A comfortable but stylish retreat, just what we needed.
Aug 03 - If all self-catering was as comfortable and stylish as this I’d never stay in a hotel again. Bliss!!
